"У нашій з Дарина Гладун квартирі в Бучі гостювали російські солдати. Виламали нам усі двері, розбили вікна, судячи з усього, вкрали всі молескіни, зокрема з неопублікованими віршами, засвітили наші весільні фотографії (навіть спогади вкрали), зіпсували багато речей, і тепер наша квартира виглядає так. Також тут гостювала пташка чи пташки, бо у квартирі досить багато пташиного посліду й пуху. Але це — чомусь приємний факт. Хоча позитивне мислення тут не дуже допомагає. Двері поставив, а далі нічого не можу. З нашого вікна видно рівно 13 побитих або спалених машин, знаю де лежали тіла людей. Думав, що стане легше, коли приїду. Не стало."

"Russian soldiers took over our (mine and Darina’s) apartment in Bucha. They broke all the doors and shattered all the windows. It seems that they stole all our moleskine notebooks, particularly those with unpublished poetry, burnt our wedding photos (stealing even our memories), destroyed so many things, and now our apartment looks like this. And a bird or a flock of birds flew in, as there’s a lot of bird droppings and feathers around the house. For some reason that’s a rather pleasant fact. Although positive thinking doesn't really help much here. I fixed the doors but I’m unable to get to anything else. From our window we can see 13 destroyed and burnt-out cars. I know where dead bodies lay on the street. I thought that it would become easier when I returned. But it didn’t."
