Andrew wrote his memoirs at the urging of his granddaughter, Irene Mazurenko, in 1973 when he was 83. He sent them to her as letters. The memoirs tell about his roots, his life back in the Old country, his journey to Canada, and early years in Canada.

The memoirs were written in Ukrainian. Irene got them translated into English while preparing her family history. She inserted some explanations to the text in Italics, when she felt, they would be helpful. They come from her own memories and stories heard in the family. These five typed pages are also a part of this collection.

The series contains materials about cultural life of ethnic minorities in Western Canada

Includes miscellaneous documents from the UMAA such as the plans, program and schedule of the 6th Choral Seminar of Canadian and American Conductors, information about the Ukrainian singer Evhenia Mirochnyenko, planning information on a concert celebrating Cyril Stetzka, handwritten notes by Neonilla Dmytruk, a newsletter by the name of "Resonance", various musical production programs, financial information, posters, an announcement for the Ukrainian News announcing a course offered by the UMAA, and a list of Ukrainian Catholic Churches in Edmonton.

The series consists of a Gamma Pho Kappa bulletin, graphic material, articles on Ukrainian local history, program of a festival in Dauphin, various bills of Ukrainian kupon-karbovanets, and one bill of old Polish złoty, and a bound volume titled The Ukrainian Book of Knowledge: complete and unabridged (empty pages).
