This file contains materials regarding Dr Medwidsky’s philanthropic pursuits. He donated to the following causes: advertising for University of Alberta Ukrainian Language courses, Ukrainian Folklore Archives Endowment, University of Alberta 1991 Foundation, the Endowment Fund for Ukrainian Folklore, President’s Club, Metro Gulutsan Memorial Endowment Fund, Canadian Ukrainian Immigrant Aid Society, Kinsmen Club of Edmonton, political parties, Fort Edmonton Historical Foundation, Ukrainian Canadian Committee, and the Friends of the Ukrainian Village Society. There is also correspondence and documentation surrounding the University of Alberta 1991 Foundation.

This file contains a variety of documentation related to Dr Medwidsky’s research projects. This includes grant applications from the University of Alberta and government organizations, as well as letters of approval for research projects. Included in many of these applications are copies of Dr Medwidsky’s CVs. Also contained are papers documenting Dr Medwidsky’s involvement in various projects sometimes as contributor and other times as editor. Finally, the file also contains various articles related to Dr Medwidsky’s research interests.

The collection consists of Nick Mischi's 90th anniversary album with cards, greetings and photographs, his 95th anniversary album, documents and photographs related to his induction to the Hall of Fame at the Vegreville Pysanka Festival, certificates of appreciation from the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, letters, and other photographs.

The sub-series contains catalogs of the artist’s exhibitions in Lviv and Kolomyia in 1984, [1990], and 1992 and a guide to the Truskavets museum named after him. The brochures have Bilas’s inscriptions to Chester and Luba Kuc. A number of materials are related to the exhibition of M. Bilas’s tapestries from Kucs’s private collection in Canada, such as the introduction of the artist in Ukrainian and English languages, list of the presented works and correspondence with Ukrainian organizations in Canada. The exhibition was held at the Edmonton Ukrainian National Federation (UNO) Hall in 2004.

The collection consists of personal documents, immigration documents, photographs, audio and video recordings about a life of Nick and Stephani (nee Hretciuk) Gaudun and John Lakusta and his family.

This series consists of records pertaining the first Ukrainian Folklore course offerings at the University of Albert, as well as the establishment of the Ukrainian Folklore master and PhD degrees. It also includes documents related to establishing several endowments in support of the Ukrainian Folklore Studies: the Huculak Chair Endowment, the Kule Chair Endowment, the Ukrainian Folklore Archives Endowment, the Ivan Franko Ukrainian Scholarship, and others.
