“Підручник шведської для тих, хто щойно приїхав.
У вправі на граматику між реченнями на кшталт «Куди їде цей автобус?» та «Як звуть твою тітку?» є ще одне — «Коли закінчується війна?»
Це речення не про Швецію: я стільки разів чула від шведів, що війни тут не було 200 років. Думаю, це важлива складова національної ідентичності.
Але за допомогою таких крихітних штрихів Швеція показує людям, що вони важливі.
Офіціант-швед, який приносить тарілки з обідом в центрі Стокгольма і старанно вимовляє «Смачного!»
Працівник метро, який бачить паспорт і каже «Привіт!» (отак українською і каже!). А я дякую йому: Tack!
Українські прапори скрізь, і над бутіком Louis Vuitton, і поруч з величним храмом в центрі Стокгольма.
Паперовий носовичок, який протягує офіцерка міграційної служби, коли замість пояснити, що мені треба, починаю плакати. Паспорт у мене все одно заберуть, але ці хустинки під рукою, як і їх терпіння до чужих сліз, — де вони тільки беруться.
Мітинги за Україну по понеділках, куди сходяться шведи, як сходились 30+ років тому за країни Балтії. І зброя, зброя, авжеж, зброя. Зброя, яка звільняє і захищає.
Я це дуже ціную. Це неможливо не цінувати.”
