"На первом фото - отель "Украина". Ну, то, что от него осталось. Именно отсюда отправляются (не могу писать в прошедшем времени) маршрутки, на которых тысячи студентов и работников гоняют в Киев. Вот там чуть правее, где раньше было кафе "Чашка", обычно машут мне, провожая, родители, когда я почти два десятилетия как уезжаю от них. На втором фото - стадион имени Гагарина, тут играет черниговская "Десна". На него я так и не попала, все мечтала о еврокубках в Чернигове. Не, ну стадион однозначно требовал ремонта, но сносить его, думаю, планировалось не снарядами. Невозможно меряться войной, невозможно меряться трагедиями или степенью ненависти. Истории Харькова, Гостомеля и Мариуполя - это уже сотни и тысячи томов преступлений. Но будут и тысячи томов на "Че". Если вдруг вы каким-то образом об этом не слышали, то давайте зафиксируем. Последние несколько недель Чернигов и окрестности стирают с лица земли. Тысячелетний город, перекрывающий путь к Киеву. Черниговская "Украина" стоит на пересечении проспектов Мира и Победы. И цена этих будущих мира и победы - дьявольская. Но они будут. Тому що життя переможе смерть, а світ - темряву."

"The first photo is the Ukraina Hotel. Well, what’s left of it. This is where the marshrutky, the minibuses used by thousands of students and workers who commute to Kyiv (I just can’t use the past tense), depart from.
Over there, a little bit to the right, where the Chashka café used to be, is where my parents usually wave, when they see me off, although I’ve been going away from them for nearly two decades.
On the second photo is the Gagarin Stadium, where Chernihiv’s Desna FC plays. I never made it there, though I always dreamed about the Euro Cup in Chernihiv. Actually, the Stadium really needed repairs, but I don’t think they were planning to demolish it using missiles.
It is impossible to measure wars, to measure tragedies or degrees of hate. The histories of Kharkiv, Hostomel and Mariupol already contain hundreds and thousands of volumes of crimes. But, there will also be thousands of volumes under the letter C [for Chernihiv].
For the past several weeks, Chernihiv and its surroundings were being erased from the face of the earth. A thousand-year-old city blocking the way to Kyiv. Chernihiv’s Ukraina is at the intersection of Peace and Victory Avenues. The price for the future peace and victory is hellish. But they will come. Because life is stronger than death, and light is stronger than darkness"

"На першому фото – готель «Україна». Ну те, що від нього залишилося. Саме звідси вирушають (не можу писати в минулому часі) маршрутки, на яких тисячі студентів і працівників ганяють до Києва.
Ось там трохи правіше, де раніше було кафе «Чашка», зазвичай махають мені, проводжаючи, батьки, коли я майже два десятиліття як їду від них.
На другому фото – стадіон імені Гагаріна, тут грає чернігівська «Десна». На нього я так і не потрапила, усе мріяла про єврокубки в Чернігові. Ні, ну стадіон однозначно вимагав ремонту, але зносити його, гадаю, планувалося не снарядами.
Неможливо мірятися війною, неможливо мірятися трагедіями чи ступенем ненависті. Історії Харкова, Гостомеля та Маріуполя – це вже сотні та тисячі томів злочинів. Але будуть і тисячі томів на «Ч» [Чернігів – Ред.].
Останні кілька тижнів Чернігів та околиці стирають з лиця землі. Тисячолітнє місто, яке перекриває шлях до Києва. Чернігівська «Україна» стоїть на перетині проспектів Миру й Перемоги. І ціна цих майбутніх миру та перемоги – диявольська. Але вони будуть. Тому що життя переможе смерть, а світ – темряву."
