"Необычный для меня пост. Про людей и животных. Катя, Екатерина Стрельцова, моя жена, как многие знают, работает в зоомагазине. С первых дней войны, почти каждый день – там, кормить животных (а больше некому). Мы не были в магазине только 26 (прорыв рдг врага в центр) и 1 марта (обстрел ХОДА). Кормили животных, в закрытый магазин стали проситься люди – что-то купить питомцам. Катя связывается с руководством, разрешают отпустить людей. Потом – вносит предложение открыть магазин официально. Это был первый магазин их сети, начавший работу в осажденном Харькове. За несколько дней починили интернет, заработал терминал. Кроме централизованных завозов, с помощью волонтеров-родственников организовали эвакуацию животных из другого магазина. Казалось бы, насколько важны животные – ведь с людьми такое… Первое. Люди, в такое время не бросающие своих питомцев, часто, еще и берущие чьих-то, заслуживают внимания и поддержки. Второе. Человек, обеспечивший питомца едой и уходом, спокойнее. И действует более правильно в непростое время. Третье. Пожалуй, главное. Если, во время войны, мы не едим собак, крыс и кошек, а заботимся о них – значит, все не так плохо, мы живы! Как сказала Катя: «Значит, мы остаемся людьми!» И люди выходят из магазина с ДРУГИМИ глазами. Пусть каждый сделает на своем месте то, что может. И – немного больше. МИ –ЛЮДИ. МИ – РАЗОМ. МИ – ПЕРЕМОЖЕМО!"

"About humans and animals.
Katya, Kateryna Streltsova, my wife, works in a pet store. From the first days of the war, almost every day, we had to feed animals (because there was no one else left). We were out of the store only on February 26 (the enemy’s sabotage and reconnaissance group’s breakthrough to the center of the city) and March 1 (shelling of Kharkiv Regional State Administration).
When we were feeding the animals, people started asking to let them into the closed shop to buy something for their pets. Katya contacted the management, and they allowed us to start selling to people. Then she offered to open the store officially. It was the first store of their chain that started operating in besieged Kharkiv. In a few days, the Internet was fixed, and the terminal started working.
Besides centralized deliveries, the evacuation of animals from another store was organized with the help of volunteer relatives. One might ask: how important are animals when the situation of human beings’ themselves is so dire?
First of all: people who do not abandon their pets in times like this, and often even take someone else’s pets, deserve attention and support.
Secondly. People who provide a pet with food and care are calmer. And they do more in difficult times.
Thirdly, and probably this is the most essential thing. If during the war we do not eat dogs, rats, and cats, but take care of them instead, then it is not so bad, we are alive!
As Katya said, “So, we remain human beings!”. And people leave the store with DIFFERENT eyes. Let everyone do what they can in their place. And – just a little bit more.

"Про людей і тварин.
Катя, Катерина Стрєльцова, моя дружина, працює в зоомагазині. З перших днів війни, майже щодня, там потрібно було годувати тварин (більше нема кому). Ми не були в магазині лише 26-го лютого (прорив ДРГ ворога до центру) та 1 березня (обстріл ХОДА). Годували тварин, а в закритий магазин стали проситися люди — щось купити домашнім улюбленцям.
Катя зв’язується з керівництвом, дозволяють продати людям. Потім вона пропонує відкрити магазин офіційно. Це був перший магазин їхньої мережі, який розпочав роботу в обложеному Харкові. За кілька днів полагодили інтернет, запрацював термінал.
Окрім централізованих завозів з допомогою волонтерів-родичів організували евакуацію тварин із іншого магазину. Здавалося б, наскільки важливими є тварини, адже з людьми таке…
Перше. Люди, які в такий час не кидають своїх улюбленців, а часто ще й беруть чиїхось, заслуговують на увагу й підтримку.
Друге. Людина, яка забезпечила вихованця їжею й доглядом, спокійніша. І діє більш правильно в непростий час.
Третє. Мабуть, найголовніше. Якщо під час війни ми не їмо собак, щурів і кішок, а дбаємо про них — значить, усе не так погано, ми живі!
Як сказала Катя: «Отже, ми залишаємось людьми!».
І люди виходять із магазину з ІНШИМИ очима. Нехай кожен зробить на своєму місці те, що може. І трохи більше. МИ — ЛЮДИ. МИ ВДОМА. МИ ПЕРЕМОЖЕМО!"
