Translation:

"It is one of the warmest memories from my past, when I was serving my country.

It happened when we were returning from the cathedrals of Honduras (the soldiers know exact spot). It was three exhausting days, the military gathering for competition between the platoons.

We were preparing hard for that one, trying to show everything that we were capable of by that time.

It was peek of the summer heat, the cloudless blue sky, three days on the military polygon in full armor. Shooting, tactical medicine, evacuation of wounded with all your gear on, topography, and many other things we have to manage.

And here we are, sitting on the bus going to Kyiv, all covered in sweat, tired but proud.

Then my comrades started to talk about their's children.

Imagine the platoon of bone-tired soldiers, and everyone talks about: " Well, my daughter is this..., my son did that...". This moment will always stay in my mind forever.

This memory reflects the reason we are standing for, why any of us took the weapon and put on a military uniform.

Someone is happy that he does not have a child in the difficult war times, but I regret not having kids.

I am glad that my godson, Oleg, is sheltered, and I am going through everything that I have to for him to return safely home.
Egorushka, his father, used to say that my training is too aggressive, and he is raising his son as a civilized human being who could negotiate in the first place, and he did not even buy him toy weapons, inspite we had plenty in our chilhood.

Then I replied that we both wish that Oleg would never take the machinegun in his arms, but for that reason, they should raise him properly, and I take this machinegun myself.

It is a simple reminder for me that behind our backs is not just the land, not just Ukraine, but the happy life of our children.

I sincerely believe that our kids should never know the words such as: "incoming," "chair force," "trip-wire," and "an empty beer."
That is why nowday we are so far away from the people we should stay around."

"Один із найтепліших спогадів за час мого військового життя.

Це було коли ми поверталися зі соборів в Гондурасу (військові знають що це за місце). Це були виснажливі 3 дні, змагання серед взводів. Ми ретельно до них готувалися, щоб показати все на що здатні.

Літня спека, небо без хмариночки, 3 дня на полігоні з повною викладкою. Стрільби, медицина, евакуація пораненого в повному обладунку на спині, топографія та багато іншого.

І ось ми сидимо в автобусі до Києва, спітнілі, втомлені, але задоволені собою.

Тоді мої побратими почали розповідати про своїх дітей. Уявіть, взвод втомлених солдат, і кожен розповідає "А ось моя така...", "А мій таке учудив...". Цей спогад назавжди закорбується в моїй пам'яті.

Цей спогад відображення того за що кожен із нас стоїть, чому кожен із нас вдягнув форму і взяв до рук зброю.
Дехто радіє, що в такі важкі часи війни у нього нема дітей, а мені дуже шкода з цього приводу.

Я радий, що зараз мій хрещений Олег в безпеці, і я роблю все що від мене залежить щоб він міг повернутися додому.
Єгорушка якось казав, що мої вишкіли у батальоні дуже агресивні, і він виховує Олега як цивілізовану людину, яка перш за все вміє домовлятися, і навіть не покупає йому іграшок у виді зброї, як це було заведено у нас в дитинстві.

Тоді я йому відповів, що ми двоє бажаємо щоб Олегу ніколи не довелося брати до рук автомат, але для цього вони з Ольгою виховують його як гідну людину, а я беру цей автомат сам.

Це нагадування для мене, що за спинами наших захисників стоїть не просто земля, не просто Україна, за нашими спинами щасливе майбутнє наших дітей.

Я всією душею сподіваюсь, що наші діти ніколи не дізнаються що таки "прихід", "птічка", "розтяжка" та "200".

Саме тому ми сьогодні так далеко від тих з ким завжди повинні бути поруч.
