"Їй 81 і це її третя евакуація. Моя ба Людмила народилася в Донецьку у 1940-му році. У 41-му, упродовж 2-ї світової, її евакуювали в Курську область і по дорозі застудили легені. Було запалення, операція, після якої вона все життя живе без частини найважливішого дихального органу.
У 2017, коли батькам нарешті вдалося вмовити її покинути окуповане місто, де вона прожила все своє життя, ми забрали Люсю в Київ. Ну як, умовити: вона почала губитися, не завжди виходила на зв‘язок, а з близьких на той час у Донецьку лишилися хіба могили наших предків.
2022: 8 днів ми прожили у Крюківщині, лишалися там попри обстріли та збивані ракети. Але коли ракети почали прилітати у сусідські будинки, нам довелося їхати знову. Ба взяла з собою лише ікону. Міцно тримала її на колінах усі 10 годин поїздки з Києва до Вінниці.
Вночі вона забуває дорогу із вбиральні до спальні в однокімнатній квартирі, бо житло їй не знайоме. І так і сидить там, поки хтось із нас не прокинеться й не відведе її назад у ліжко. Вранці вона щодня питає: де ми і чому ми тут опинилися. Вибухи бомб, схоже, уже стерлися з її крихкої пам‘яті, тепер звикає до перманентного звуку сирен. Рідна сестра бабусі, народжена в тій першій евакуації, уже 17 днів живе в під’їзді багатоповерхівки у Харкові, в районі ХТЗ. Світлана частково паралізована, не ходить, має важке захворювання. Днями вона на сходовій клітині відсвяткувала свій 80-й ювілей. Її доглядає донька, з Харкова вони не поїдуть – місто проросло в них фізично, воно тече їхніми венами.
Якщо бомбити почнуть і Вінницю, не знаю, як моя ба подужає евакуацію далі. І куди далі — я теж не знаю.
У вас коли-небудь забирали дім? А двічі?"

"Васильків. За метрів 700 від мого будинку влучила балістична ракета. Я поїхав подивитися що сталося зі школою/коледжем ПТУ, за 10 метрів від якої вона вибухнула. Всередині впали плити перекриття. Деякі речі вціліли і я взяв вогнегасник, щоб відвезти його в наш комюніті центр, де бомбосховище, багато жінок і дітей. Коли виходив, з'явився чоловік і сказав: це моя школа, я тут 25 років, і колись був директором, віддайте вогнегасник. Я віддав, звичайно ж. Він довго розповідав про свою роботу, про те що за декілька місяців до війни вони створили надзвичайні навчальні місця для навчання куховарству. Майже плакав. В цій школі колись вчився мій друг. Зараз він без роботи, і ми щоночі спимо у підвалі, регулярно чуючи потужні вибухи з боку аеродрому, який захищає небо над нами. Путіністи не лишають спроб зруйнувати наше життя повністю."

"Сьогодні приїхав Мелітополь. Вчителька звідти розповіла, як вони ходили на мітинги, а по них стріляли. Хлопцю, який мітингував поруч, прострелили ногу. Потім окупанти запитали організаторку про призначеного мера міста. Дівчина відповіла, що у нас в Україні не призначають, а обирають. Її викрали, вже кілька днів від неї жодної звістки. Іншу біженку я запитала, як вона дісталася Львова, чи складна була дорога. Та заплакала. Сказала, що їхала зеленим коридором, і по них гатили. В неї тряслися руки, коли я давала їй простий бутерброд із сиром. Ще одна, трохи за сорок, сама розповіла, що з Краматорська. Там лишився її син студент. Захищатиме місто. "Заборонив мені з ним панькатися і відправив у Львів". Хвилюється, вірить у ЗСУ. Це геть інша географія, такої не вчать у школі. Ці міста лишаються цвяшками у серці. Маріуполь, Мелітополь, Краматорськ."

"Ранок 24 лютого проголомшив: замість повсякденних справ ми вирішували як жити, коли у твоїй країні почалася війна. Шок. Безсилля. Розпач. Страх. Це далеко не всі емоції які захопили кожного в той день.
В нашому місті перші дні не було бойових дій. І це було наче тиша перед бурею. Перші бої були поблизу артучилища та аеропорту. В нашому будинку було чутно кожен вибух. Часом від вибухів здригалися вікна. Донька була дуже налякана, вона плакала і казала, що не хоче вмирати.
Були дні, коли по місту потерпало від артобстрілів, тоді ми всім будинком ховалися у підвал. Сидячи у підвалі і слухаючи вибухи, кожен молився, щоб вижити. Діти плакали. Це дуже важно пережити, коли маленькі діти усвідомлюють небезпеку для свого життя і питають батьків - нас не вб'ють?
Наша родина виїхала із міста після першого авіаудару. Я не знаю повернемося ми колись додому, чи взагалі буде наш дім. Дуже боляче тікати, лишаючи позаду все своє життя. І їхати в нікуди починати все спочатку.
Я не хочу, щоб моя донька здригалася від кожного звуку, я не хочу, щоб вона спала у підвалах, я не хочу, щоб війна забрала у неї дитинство.
Я хочу жити в мирній і незалежній Україні і вірю, що скоро наша країна буде саме така."
