Andrew wrote his memoirs at the urging of his granddaughter, Irene Mazurenko, in 1973 when he was 83. He sent them to her as letters. The memoirs tell about his roots, his life back in the Old country, his journey to Canada, and early years in Canada.

The memoirs were written in Ukrainian. Irene got them translated into English while preparing her family history. She inserted some explanations to the text in Italics, when she felt, they would be helpful. They come from her own memories and stories heard in the family. These five typed pages are also a part of this collection.

"The Ukrainian Canadian Wedding" discuses studies of 20th century wedding practices of Ukrainian Canadians based on interviews.

The project consists of songs and verses collected in Edmonton from the informants Joe Olinyk, Anna Olinyk, Mrs. Helena Pinkyj, Mrs. Eva Kurylo, Mrs. Maria Stratychuk, Mrs. Annie Kapach, and Mrs. Mary Lagoski, some of whom grew up in Galicia or Bukovina and immigrated to Canada.

This series includes materials from interviews collected with people living in the Edmonton area. This series includes transcripts and audio recordings from interviews and photographs.

This file contains materials relating to the operation of the Ukrainian Catholic Council of Canada and its associate organizations at the national and provincial levels. The organizations that are associated include the Brotherhood of Ukrainian Catholics of Canada, Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada, Ukrainian Catholic Youth of Canada, and others. "Study on Ukrainian immigrant tombstones" discusses the ritual of building tombstones for the dead with a focus on the tombstones of the first generation of Ukrainian immigrants.

The two volume typewritten manuscript "History of Ukrainian art" covering all historical periods from pre-history (Stone Age) to modern time including art of the Ukrainian diasporas in Europe, Canada and the USA. Comes with a detailed summary of the study.

The series contains drafts of statutes of the World Council of Shevchenko Scientific Societies and the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Toronto (n/d), as well as a notarized copy of the Province of Ontario Letters Patent Incorporating Scientific Shevchenko Society (1959).

This series consists of documents related to the banquet in honor of Josyp Slipyi (Joseph Slipy) in Edmonton on February 11, 1968. Mainly correspondence, reports about donations, ticket distribution, and minutes of meetings.

This file contains early materials collected by Rena Hanchuk for her Folklore classes and a final paper. The project defines the wax ceremony as practiced in Canada. Within the written work, Rena compares and contrasts the definition of a wax ceremony through the taped interviews. The 15-page essay "A study on the Wax Ceremony as folk medicine" was done for the course Ukrainian 699.
